NETWORK MARKETING MUST CHANGE!
Network marketing has seen rapid changes over the last few years. In many ways the industry is experiencing its own growing pains.
1. Mixed Message Coaching. I believe one of the most damaging changes is the high degree of 'confusion' being experienced by team members that search for 'the easy button' to succeed by attending coaching calls being given by (anyone that can talk) via free Zoom video calls and audio phone calls, free both for the presenter and the attendee. Free calls that can reach nationally and internationally sharing good and bad coaching... sending mix messages... causing team members to be extremely confused. And we know the confused mind says... "no"... and so many team members become so confused by the mixed messages... they give up and quit. Love them or not, Amway found a way to keep 'single focused message'. Leaders learned the playbook and shared the same message... adding a bit of their own style, yet never changing the message. They indoctrinated the team members so well with a (single focused message) on a proven success system that they would almost never quit and they were unrecruitable by any other company. And they were and still to this day are the largest company in our industry! Here is the rating of the top companies: https://www.businessforhome.org/2020/04/the-500-largest-direct-sales-companies-in-the-world-2020/
2. Microwave Mentality about Success. We need to set correct expectations and help team members reach shorter-term milestones to reach their longer-term dream life goals as they help more and more people. Amway to this day still coaches a 5-Year Dream Life Plan.
3. Lack of a Daily Work Plan. Most team members frankly don't know what to do daily. I added the 3-3-1-1 Daily Work Plan to the expanded Perfect System.
4. Team Members trying to be Doctors. We are people helping people. I am not a movie director, yet I can share with anyone about a good movie. I am not a chef, yet I can share with anyone anyone about a good restaurant. I am not a professional athlete or a coach, yet I can share about the games I follow and watch.
5. Leadership Ego. It seems that many leaders will not coach any system that they did not create.
